2/10/2012 – 32 week ultrasound |
We had an ultrasound and perinatologist appointment this week. Things are looking a whole lot better, and most of the doctors’ concerns are no longer issues. The biggest news is that my placenta previa is no more. It’s not partial. It’s not low-lying. It’s 3 cm away from my cervix, and we should be able to do a normal vaginal delivery. There will be no early scheduled c-section. The CCAM showing up on Isla’s lungs is still tiny, not causing any issues now and unlikely to need surgery after she is born.
I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but I had to take the 3-hour glucose test (fyi: don’t eat fast food immediately preceding your 1-hour test!) on Monday, and fortunately, the results came back normal. So no gestational diabetes, either.
In terms of everything else, she’s measuring just slightly under the 50% mark for growth. She weighed in at 3 lb. and 12 oz., and is getting so big, she barely fits on the ultrasound. She was also head down (yay!) and appears to be ready to go for labor and delivery. Fingers crossed she stays that way.
All in all, it was a great appointment, and the doctor told us we will only have one more appointment with him before she gets here. Very good news and such a relief, as I’ve definitely been experiencing medical burn out. In 9 weeks or less, we’ll have a baby!
