It would appear that we are ready–at least, as ready as we can be–for a baby.
Between Sunday, February 5 and Sunday, February 12, my husband and I basically got together all the baby stuff that we either received or purchased ourselves, cleaned it, put it together, and stored it away. Plus, we cleaned out and rearranged a significant portion of the rest of the house, and did a deep cleaning on pretty much every room in the house. We cooked a ton of freezer meals, to the point that I’ve made pretty much all I ever intended to make (plus a couple of extra dishes.) We also cleaned out our cars and installed car seats. We even did our online birthing class.
A few last-minute, and less critical, items have been trickling in, but nothing that really takes a lot of time to sort out.
So. That leaves us with possibly as much as a month with nothing to do but wait.
…
I’m not really sure what to do with myself.
Just make sure you have diapers, long sleeved onesies, and lots and lots of maxi-pads (did anyone tell you that you have a 6-10 week period after a baby? Yeah. You do.
